A: Service Lead
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at ESC?
A: Solving customers’ problems. There’s real satisfaction in taking a complex issue that’s causing stress or downtime and working through it until we find the right solution. Every business has different needs and challenges, so no two problems are exactly the same – it keeps the work interesting. Plus, that moment when you can tell a customer is relieved because their technology is working again and they can focus on running their business. That’s what makes it all worthwhile.
Q: Can you share a favorite memory or accomplishment from your time here?
A: After Hurricane Ida, several of us worked immediately as a skeleton crew for a few days from the Bissinger property in Mississippi, as the entire New Orleans metro region was without power and reliable internet. We set up a makeshift office and physically ferried critical equipment from our Metairie office to Mississippi. I even lived up there for a few days to ensure we could support our clients. It was far from ideal, and many of our customers were in a worse position logistically than we were, but we were still able to function and help everyone who needed it by remaining available to them, exemplifying our “Build Loyalty Through Commitment” core value.

Q: What’s one practical technology tip you’d give to everyday technology users?
A: I actually have 2 great tips:
- New stuff is just as confusing to everyone else, so there are no dumb questions!
- Never underestimate the power of a good clean reboot!
Q: What’s one common technology opportunity you see many businesses missing?
A: Using a single point of contact for all data & communication needs. If your business is not so large that you are able to manage all of these things in-house, it is important to have a partner that understands just how interconnected all communications (voice, data, messaging, meeting, etc.) have become. This allows you to drive technology decisions from a single point-of-view with a common goal.
Beyond the Office
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and how you spend your time outside of work?
A: I’m a homebody who spends my time hanging out with my dog Nadia (Shepherd/Pit Bull mix), either exploring nature when its not too hot/buggy outside, or just watching sports on the couch – I’m a hardcore fan of baseball at all levels, but my “ride or die” team is the Pittsburgh Steelers! In fact, I am from Western Pennsylvania originally and also spent many years living in Connecticut, so I enjoy making the road trip back that way a couple times a year as well….
During the growing season, I tend to my lawn/trees/plants myself like a groundskeeper to stay busy, and the rest of the year I pay someone else to do my home improvement projects because I know I will screw that up myself!

A: Barataria Preserve. Great nature trails, just not in the summer (bugs) or after heavy rains (outside the levee)!
